The Power art project for 2023-2024, in the new format of a traveling contemporary art exhibition, investigates, challenges, and reformulates the concept of Power. The exhibition offers an immersive experience, in which seven visionary artists from the Netherlands and Italy come together to create works that question and celebrate Power in all its facets.
Through conceptual art, video art, and installation, the exhibition invites the public to profound reflection. The exhibition project explores the various forms of power: the power of the mind and the internal dynamics that derive from it, social power in its structural manifestations, the power of nature, the power of time, the power of memory, the power of the universe, and the power of art.
Artists explore the concepts of resilience, self-determination, consciousness, and awareness, inviting us to explore our potential for change and to reflect on the possibilities of a future in which power is equally distributed.
Supporting artists, rewarding with our interest the passion and commitment of those who daily make art their mission, must not be a luxury. Breaking down the walls of indifference and shortsightedness (cultural, political, and social) is not a pipe dream, but rather our specific responsibility, and it is in our hands. Let us take back this POWER to bring truth and beauty. Art has never been more needed. Now more than ever, let us support it to fulfill its irreplaceable function of making this world a better place for all.
ITALIANO

Arjan Spannenburg’s photography focuses on identity and self-expression. Through powerful mostly black-and-white compositions, he portrays adolescents in a fragile, transitional moment, caught between the search for individuality and the need to connect with the outside world for support, understanding, and love. His images invite viewers to reflect on the relationship between vulnerability and the expression of the self.

Born in Cavalese (TN) in 1990, he developed a passion for art during his early studies and later pursued Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, completing a master’s degree in Art History and Criticism at the University of Milan. His search for a medium aligned with his sensibility led him to video, which he found most suitable for his artistic inquiry.
