International Graphic and Illustration Competition
Organized by Forte di Bard in collaboration with Alina Art Foundation and Inarttendu Gallery, the project A Mountain of… Signs – Ice Imprints invites artists to reflect on the fragile beauty of glaciers — powerful symbols of climate change.
Through drawing, digital graphics, animation and video, artists were asked to interpret the ephemeral nature of ice and transform artistic practice into a gesture of environmental awareness.
The competition gathered 134 artists and 198 artworks across three categories.
From this selection, 31 finalists and 6 winners were chosen.

The exhibition presents the finalist and winning works within the framework of the European project TransiT – Transition towards Sustainable Cultural Tourism, with the technical support of Alina Art Foundation and Inarttendu.
Alongside the finalists, the exhibition includes invited artists and site-specific projects by Alice Padovani, Roberto Ghezzi and Andrea Villa, together with works by internationally recognized illustrators and graphic designers.
The exhibition is accompanied by talks, performances and public encounters exploring the relationship between art, landscape and climate awareness.

Organizzato da Forte di Bard in collaborazione con Alina Art Foundation e Inarttendu, il progetto Una Montagna di… Segni – Impronte di Ghiaccio invita gli artisti a riflettere sulla fragilità dei ghiacciai, simboli potenti del cambiamento climatico.
Attraverso disegno, grafica digitale, animazione e video, il concorso ha chiesto agli artisti di interpretare la bellezza effimera del ghiaccio, trasformando l’arte in uno strumento di consapevolezza ambientale.
Il concorso ha coinvolto 134 artisti con 198 opere, suddivise in tre categorie.
Da questa selezione sono stati individuati 31 finalisti e 6 vincitori.

Accanto ai finalisti, la mostra include artisti invitati e progetti site-specific di Alice Padovani, Roberto Ghezzi e Andrea Villa, insieme a opere di illustratori e grafici di rilievo internazionale.
La mostra è accompagnata da incontri, talk e performance dedicati al dialogo tra arte, paesaggio e coscienza climatica.

Milan based graphic designer, is known for his elegant synthesis of typography, visual clarity, and narrative depth. His approach turns graphic design into a dialogue between structure and emotion.

Illustrator and urban explorer on paper. His intricate ink drawings build impossible cities, fantastical machines, and worlds where architecture dreams. Based in Sweden, his sketchbooks are legends in the drawing community.

Swiss graphic designer and poster master. For decades, his jazz posters have defined a visual language where rhythm becomes form. Bold, playful, precise—his work doesn't follow trends, it sets them. Collected worldwide.



Master
Multidisciplinary creative studio by Nastassja Abel and Christian Otto. Operating at the intersection of art and design, their mission is "Defining New Aesthetics" exploring visual expression through AI, typography, and experimental composition. Inspired by fashion, Japanese culture, hip-hop, and architecture, their daily "ART EVERY DAY" series (500+ works) challenges visual habits with enigmatic, evolving imagery. Based in Munich, exhibited and collected internationally.
Guest Artist
Alice Padovani explores the fragile architecture of memory through installations and drawings that blend scientific precision with emotional resonance. Her work transforms collections, fragments, and natural forms into poetic systems of meaning.
Guest Artist
Graphic designer and visual storyteller. His work balances geometric precision with narrative depth, creating identities and editorial projects that speak clearly without shouting. Based in Italy, exhibited internationally.

Guest Artist
Visual artist and pioneer of Naturografie©—works co-created with nature itself. He places photosensitive materials in remote landscapes (Iceland, Patagonia, Nepal, Svalbard) for days, months, or years, letting water, light, and organic matter inscribe themselves. His practice merges art, science, and environmental inquiry. Exhibited internationally; works held in major collections.
Our competition draws on the expertise and experience of a jury composed of five professionals in the fields of graphic design, design, and architecture. The jury members are:
Sanda Sudor – President of the Alina Art Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports artists and projects with a strong social mission. With extensive experience in the art and design world, she is dedicated to promoting artistic initiatives with significant cultural and social impact.
Luciano Seghesio – Gallery owner, renowned graphic designer, and president of the Inarttendu Cultural Association of Aosta. Through his curatorial and artistic work, he has supported numerous artists and innovative projects, contributing to the promotion of contemporary graphic design.
Francesco Subioli – Designer, president of the ADI Lazio Delegation, and member of the Legambiente Scientific Committee. With extensive experience in design and visual communication, he has curated numerous innovative projects, promoting design culture nationally and internationally.
Carlo Malerba – Architect and president of the ADI Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta Delegation. Specializing in architectural and industrial design, he has worked on internationally renowned projects, contributing to the dissemination of design culture and innovation.
Wyllis Snell – Director of SAS L'Etoffe des Heros, expert in identifying and developing brand visions and strategies, defining communication scenarios and tools, and corporate digitalization.
These five professionals will bring their vision and expertise to the selection of the competing works, ensuring a thorough and qualified evaluation process.
